Steps

This is how it works.

Step 1: Predefined excel format

Taxmarc will deliver a predefined Excel format with the required fields needed for the analysis In case of SAP systems, Taxmarc delivers a program that will collect the information from your SAP system In case of non-SAP systems, the requested data needs to be collected by the client based on directions from the Taxmarc team.

Step 2: Prepare data

After we receive the requested data from the client, we will prepare the data so that it can be processed by the Taxmarc engine.

Step 3: Run data through the Taxmarc engine

After the preparations are done, the Taxmarc team will run the data through the Taxmarc engine.

Step 4: Differences

Based on the provided data, Taxmarc will compare the tax data with the tax result from the Taxmarc tax engine. All difference found by the Taxmarc tax engine will automatically be listed.

Step 5: Analysis of the listed data

The Taxmarc team will analyze the listed data and will set up a call with the client to discuss the outcome. If incorrect results have been found because not all information has been delivered correctly, we start the process again from step 1. It might also be possible that some additional fields need to be introduced in the predefined excel format in case the client is running very complex scenarios.

Step 6: Taxmarc business transaction indirect tax analyzer

After the results have been analyzed, Taxmarc will show an overview of all business transactions found in the data load.

Prerequisites SAP data load

In case of SAP systems, to guarantee a smooth project, the following prerequisites need to be met:

  • Installation of extraction program

The client has to install the extraction program provided by Taxmarc in a SAP system in which the data to be analyzes is located.

  • Access to client's SAP environment for two user IDs

Access to client's SAP system is required for two user IDs. The Taxmarc team is then able to verify the collected data and results before we present it to the client.

  • A developer key is required

In case of SAP systems, Taxmarc will provide the program that will extract the required data from the SAP system. Unfortunately for every data load, the program delivered by Taxmarc can not cover all scenarios. The program may have to be adapted to the way the client configured his business processes. Example, supply of services. Experience tells us that every SAP system is set up differently for service transactions. To implement the customer specific logic in the extract program a developer key is needed.

  • Data transfer

The extracted data has to be made available on a shared drive accessibel by Taxmarc

  • Subject Matter Expert

The Taxmarc team needs access to a subject matter expert that can explain customer processes needed to decided on the possible adjustment of the program.

The Taxmarc team is happy to help you build the XML message, discuss the input fields needed for your business and set up the connection to the Taxmarc tax engine webservice.
