Why it is important to upgrade your software and how we support our customers in doing so
‘s-Hertogenbosch, 16-02-2023: As businesses grow and regulations change, it is important for each company to stay current and upgrade their software. Software updates provide improved or new features, bug fixing, enhancements to make the end-user experience better. Our developers are constantly working on ways to improve the software, to give greater efficiency to our users.
Upgrading software sounds expensive and risky. However, the truth is that older systems have more issues – and consequently more costs. And the Taxmarc regression test tools take away a lot of the risk and drastically reduce the time to test the new version.
A Taxmarc upgrade can be done at any time. It consists of 4 steps:
- Step 1. Loading latest version from Taxmarc. We reintroduce our product by loading a PAT file. Loading the PAT file overwrites the old version of Taxmarc.
- Step 2. Loading existing Taxmarc configuration. All existing Taxmarc configuration will be loaded back into the system.
- Step 3. Automated Regression Testing. All transactions that have taken place over the past year will be automatically run through the updated engine again. The differences will be listed.
- Step 4. Analyze/resolve test results. The functional implementation partner or the Taxmarc team will analyze the list of differences and resolve them if necessary.
